EV Charging Kiosk Modification
The customer asked for a series of drawings, and a render for a piece of equipment, based on a production ATM kiosk frame, that could deliver air, water and EV charging capabilities for a user’s vehicle.
Customer Brief and Specification
Based on the GenMega Kiosk 2 ATM enclosure
Concept design should incorporate the fundamental placement of electrical, water and air reels as well as some internal component changes.

Concept Visualization
It was specified that the electrical control box have a number of modifications made - in particular the inclusion of 2 x 120V sockets and 2 x NEMA sockets. Basic wiring was indicated on the concept drawings.
Scope change - throughout the iteration of concept drawings, the customer decided it was beneficial to place the EV charger control box on the side of the kiosk, for easier access and shorter wiring lengths.
Concept Selection and 3D Modelling
Discussions took place with the customer to identify the most suitable layout from the concept drawings. Further scope change and design improvement meant that the left hand side of the cabinet would now be fitted with a JE Adams 6025 retractable hose reel, providing a “plug and play” off the shelf solution for water and air delivery.
Aswell as this, the cabinet must be entirely designed with sheet metal in mind - 1.5mm mild steel, following conventional rules for bends and flanges.
