Mechanical Engineering Contracting Update

UPDATE - Over the last month, I've been working alongside NPI engineering at Edwards Vacuum, developing a new piece of semiconductor equipment. It's been great to join a team at the later stages of the design process where the new system is being built within manufacturing. The work has focussed largely on building around a new architecture that puts cost effectiveness and serviceability as primary aims.

Some of the skills which have been honed through this piece of work, are:
- Quick turn around of technical part and assembly drawings to BS8888, including sheet metal and weldment specifications
- Collaborating with electrical, controls, and manufacturing engineers to design suitable system hardware
- Design For Assembly and Design For Manufacture, considering the flow of materials and timing of installations on shop floor

Keen to power on with the team and start validating our designs on a working system very soon!
